About me
Hey, I’m Philipp, the face and brain behind At Ease Design!
Originally from a small town in northern Bavaria, Germany, I studied and now live in the wonderful city that is Leipzig.
I have always had a big interest in art, design and technology and my Bachelor's degree in Media & Computer Science has given me a solid foundation in both the creative and technical aspects of design. This combination of skills allows me to approach design challenges from a holistic viewpoint and develop solutions that are not only visually striking but also effective in reaching their intended audience.
The thing that I am most passionate about as a designer is my focus on creating designs with a personality. I could never settle for creating bland, soulless art and I am always striving to create designs with a character and emotions. While the visual artstyle of my work varies greatly, from clean and simple logos all the way to highly detailed illustrations, I always aim to create designs that not only reflect the values, mission, and personality of my clients but also infuse a piece of my own personality and influences into my work.
Through my background in technology I understand how different mediums and platforms can impact a brand's message and design, and I use that knowledge to develop designs that are not only visually stunning but also technically sound and user-friendly.
When I'm not designing stuff or sitting in front of my computer browsing the internet, I spend my time rollerblading around lakes, stagediving at hardcore shows, building lego sets and going for long walks.
Influences
My designs and art are influenced by a huge variety of things that are all part of myself, what I enjoy, surround myself with, grew up with and whatever else there is.
My main influences are the hardcore and punk culture, american traditional tattooing, 90s animes and cartoons and the skating/rollerblading scene.
One of my favorite things about design is to take elements from each of these fields and influences and fuse them together to create new things in my very own style.
